After a lot of encouragement from my husband I have begun this journey of… blogging. I have chosen the topic of health for a number of reasons. Not only is it part of my schooling (BS in Nursing), but it is something that every one of us deals with each and every day. According to the World Health Organization, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” I think this definition is so crucial because it not only deals with our physical health, but our emotional health. We always hear that in order to be healthy you should eat right, exercise and manage your stress. True, however I believe there is much more to this. Take time to enjoy life, appreciate the simple things, enjoy the people you are with, and take the time to do the things you love. Combining all of this together is what Health is to me.
And so I begin this blog to share my own thoughts and information I come across which will hopefully be useful to others. Some of it may be related to Physical Health and some of it may be reminders to step back and enjoy the simple things! Either way I hope to make it interesting and entertaining… Thank you for being part of this journey! :)
